The CASHNet Suite of Products was designed with security as the core of the system and at several levels.

At the application level, the CASHNet products are protected by passwords and can be configured to restrict access to various functions by user role. Additionally all credit card transactions are SSL encrypted providing users with a secure online environment for payment.

All requests for credit card processing in CASHNet are made over a secure VPN connection to the processing facility over dedicated lines to the college or university’s selected credit card processing network and ultimately to its merchant bank.

CASHNet is compliant with a number of security and privacy standards. Some of these standards like VISA CISP, MasterCard SDP, NACHA, FERPA and GLBA have audits and certifications while others like American Express DSOP and Discover Card do not have a formal certification component.

The CASHNet Data center has stringent security measures to ensure the electronic security of its servers and customers’ data. Apart from use of standard security measures like firewalls, anti-virus software, intrusion detection systems, regular scanning and logging, CASHNet encrypts all data that flows between the data center and ANY outside point. Sensitive data stored within the data center is also encrypted using a hash algorithm providing an additional layer of security.
