Abstract: This course gives the CASHNet supervisor/system administration a comprehensive look at the many aspects of operating Cashiering and Departmental Deposits.
Description: This hands-on course examines a variety of issues in maintaining your campus cashiering system. Topics include processing a variety of transaction types, maintaining basic tables, creating and running reports, running and monitoring extracts and troubleshooting problems. Successful completion of this class and the accompanying test will result in Specialist-level certification.
Prerequisite: Minimum 6 months experience in CASHNet (any version).

Payment Processing in CASHNet

Abstract: This course provides a detailed look at all the types of payment processing options available in CASHNet.
Description: This course will examine in detail all the payment options that make up CASHNet, including batch and over-the-counter Cashiering, TouchTone Telephone, Web and Departmental Deposits. You will learn which tables are needed to keep these functions running properly and how to make modifications to reflect your institution’s changing needs. In addition, you will learn how to maintain the customer demographic file in CASHNet.

You will learn tips on systematically closing out each day and making sure your system is in balance.

Basic CASHNet Communications for Payment Processing

Abstract: This course examines the ways that CASHNet communicates with your other campus systems as well as any external systems for successful payment processing.
Description: Keeping CASHNet in synch with your other campus systems is vital for maintaining daily operations. This course will explain the difference between batch and online downloads and extracts, provide instruction in running both and help you troubleshoot problems. You will also examine the different credit card processing options and learn to interpret the messages generated by your network processors. Finally, the course will look at maintaining the links between your CASHNet server and IVR and/or WEB servers.

Basic Systems Administration in CASHNet

You will also learn how to maintain users and their passwords in both CASHNet and UNIX.
